Bright south-facing double room in Victorian terraced house in Burley-in-Wharfedale. Room overlooks garden.

Our street is set back from the village main street and has only gardens at front (parking is in private lane behind the house). So it's very quiet, and amazing in the summer.

House has kitchen-diner, living room with TV, gas central heating, washing machine, fridge freezer, off street parking, sun porch with chaise longue. House has broadband.

The room has fitted wardrobes, shelves, TV aerial point, desk, lamps, chairs and good bed- or you can bring your own desk, chairs etc. The room has just been re-decorated including new carpet and bedding.

There is also a small adjoining box room for your sole use, with window, which can be used for storage- about 6 ft x 2. 5 ft , shelved to ceiling.

I am a film writer, director and lecturer. I'm looking for a straightforward reliable and self-sufficient person- maybe academic or professional. Monday to Friday people welcome.

It would suit anyone commuting into Leeds, Bradford, Ilkley, Otley, Skipton or Keighley. And anyone wanting a chilled-out and quiet place. And anyone who likes to be seconds away from great walks/runs/cycle rides etc. !

Burley has 4 great pubs/wine bars, 2 restaurants, takeaways, 2 general stores, post office, bakery, deli, fish fruit and veg shop, butchers and etc. Its a friendly and quite young village- now eg. has a cinema one night a month (!) And only 5 minutes to Ilkley or Otley.

1 minute walk to shops, 3 minutes to river walk, regular buses to Otley, Ilkley, Leeds and Harrogate, train station (Leeds 16 minutes, Ilkley 5 minutes, Bradford 13 minutes). 15 minutes walk onto Ilkley Moor.
