The room: 11' x 14'. Two clothes cupboards, one large chest of drawers, one small storage cabinet, bookcase, pictures and antiques. Very quiet.

The flat: Lots of colours, many books, pictures, antiques from all over the world. Washing machine and dryer. Well-equipped kitchen. One shared bathroom, but it is very large, with excellent power shower, and it is all yours whenever you want it.

Neighbourhood: Quiet, pleasant area. Hampstead Heath is on the other side of the road. Belsize Park tube is 12 minutes' walk. Around the corner is a stop for the 46 and 24 bus (British Museum 25 minutes door to door). Hampstead Heath railway station 8 minutes' walk. Many shops within five minutes' walk, including M&S and 2 excellent delicatessens.

Me: Middle-aged American, Jewish writer on the arts, resident in London more than 20 years.

You: Polite, considerate, quiet woman. Reasonably clean and tidy. NOT someone who lists "pubbing and clubbing" as an interest, please! If you like to cook, I can offer all necessary apparatus, and if you like to eat, you are welcome to try my cooking (Italian, Moroccan, Eastern European).
