I own and run a small group of private schools around the country and consequently am away with work 1-2 nights per week during term time and ~2 weekends a months.
School holidays enable frequent trips away for a week or 3 at a time. And being from Australia originally, I prefer to hibernate through winter in Sydney with family and friends for 2-3 months from November. So all in all you will have the place to yourself much of the time!
What matters most though is that when I am around, I have a flatmate to share a space and a home with (not just someone renting a room) ... and of course an occasional glass of wine or dinner!
