I own and run a small group of private schools around the country and consequently am away with work 1-2 nights per week during term time and ~2 weekends a months.

School holidays enable frequent trips away for a week or 3 at a time. And being from Australia originally, I prefer to hibernate through winter in Sydney with family and friends for 2-3 months from November. So all in all you will have the place to yourself much of the time!

What matters most though is that when I am around, I have a flatmate to share a space and a home with (not just someone renting a room) ... and of course an occasional glass of wine or dinner!

Back to the flat:

Numerous riverside cafes and bars within a short walk. Best gastro-pub in London(2008) 4 minutes walk.

Gym/pool/tennis courts directly across road (The Harbour Club).

5 minutes walk to newly opened Imperial Wharf station. 15 minutes walk to Fulham Broadway. Or by bus to Fulham Broadway (5 min) or Earls Court (10min).

15-20 minutes by direct riverboat to Embankment and Blackfriars.
