We are currently looking for a sociable and sorted professional (single or couple) to join us in our beautiful house, minutes away from Clapham Junction and vibrant Battersea...

YOUR ROOM - Part of a roof extension project carried out 3 years ago, your bedroom is on the top-floor flat of a turn of the century Victorian house... It is equipped with home cinema, wide screen TV (with SKY connection), book shelves and storage. If you like to sleep in total darkness, all the windows are equipped with super-thick light-obstructing blinds which will do the deal... An amazing walk-in wardrobe will be all yours to use and the bathroom too, with its beautifully set-out mosaic shower. You will de facto be owning your own little studio at the top of the house, with complete privacy...

THE HOUSE - Decorated with taste with a designer feel and fully furnished, our house is welcoming and a true haven of peace. Fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, fruit juicers, smoothie maker!), comfortable lounge/diner area and a very cute garden at the back, perfect for Summer barbecues or al-fresco dining. WiFi connection is available throughout.

THE AREA - Your new home is a charming two-storey Victorian terraced house located 4min walk north of Clapham Junction station.

Convenience stores are located less than 3min walk away (Tesco Metro and Sainsburys) whilst larger grocery stores (Waitrose and ASDA) can be reached in just under 10min by foot.

For the weekends, beautiful Battersea Park and the famous Northcote Road with its plethora of lively bars, gourmet pubs and restaurants, traditional bakeries, cheese-monger and old-fashioned butcher are both a short 10min walk away.

We have three gyms in the vicinity (Fitness First, Nuffield and Latchmere Leisure Centre) and Virgin Active Chelsea is just on the other side of the river (a short 15min jog, great for the pre-session work-out...)

TRANSPORT - A 9min train ride to either Victoria or Waterloo via Vauxhall makes our area the ideal spot for anyone working in the City or Central London. Clapham Junction also offers direct connections to Old Brompton for Earls Court (10min), Kensington Olympia (15min), Shepherds Bush / Westfield / Central Line (16min) and Watford Junction (40min).

With many buses (and night buses) covering this part of London, connections are easy at all times of the day, and night... Night buses will take you to and back from Piccadilly, Trafalgar Square and as far away as Liverpool street. In just under 15min on the bus you can be on the Kings Road or Fulham Road and enjoy the many bars and shops of these two top destination areas... As well as two Cineworld cinemas within 5 minutes of each other...

A WORD ABOUT US - The house comprises three double bedrooms and one single bedroom... However, you will be sharing with only two of us: I (landlord, 32, gay) will be travelling for most of next year from October 2010 onwards and will only use the house as my base in-between my trips for a few days… which means you will not see much of me!… You will share with my best friend Deborah, a fantastic 30-year old French girl who has been living in London for 6 years.

We both love cooking, working out at the gym, running in the park, watching movies with a nice glass of wine, reading, enjoying life really...

WHAT ABOUT YOU - We are looking for (a) charming sociable professional(s), preferably a couple (straight or gay), a single girl or single gay man, CLEAN and TIDY, who will respect the house as well as the privacy of others when necessary. We hope to find someone open to the world, communicative, easy to live with and of course Francophile!
It is absolutely imperative for us that you are GAY-FRIENDLY and generally a tolerant and open person.
We would love someone who will enjoy a chat in the evening and the odd dinners or activities together. Someone who will love this house, treat it as theirs and not consider it as just a dormitory.

NON NEGOTIABLES: LGBT Friendly - No Pets - No Smoking Inside The House - 6-Month min Stay - Deposit = 6 weeks

*RENT: £1, 200 per calendar month (£280 per week) / £1, 400 for a couple. Excludes charges, but allow approx £100 per month if on your own, £130 if you are in a couple (this includes electricity, council tax, SKY, internet, water, gas and electricity). Cleaner on top (frequency and extent of their work to be agreed together)

No Agency Fees - Tenancy regulated through contract, renewable on a yearly basis (certain clauses are open to discussion); all details can be discussed face to face when you come to visit the house
